It is the largest and most important park in Rute. Located right in the heart of the town, it was opened in the summer of 1929. The Nuestra Señora del Carmen Park is divided into several areas and is home to the ‘Alcalde Pedro Flores’ Open-Air Theatre, where numerous cultural activities are organised, the Tourist Office, a sort of terrace with a small duck pond, a lovely fish pond and a children’s playground. Adjacent to the park is the Paseo Francisco Salto, a very popular promenade where countless festivals and events are also held.
