A circular route suitable for mountain bikes, starting and finishing in Rute, which covers a wide area of the Subbética region in Córdoba, passing through various towns, rural hamlets and landscapes typical of the countryside and low mountain ranges. The route begins in Rute, descending along the Camino de la Hoz to enter the municipality of Iznájar. Throughout the route, rural tracks and sections of road interconnect, so extreme caution is required at junctions and on sections shared with motor traffic, particularly on roads such as the A-331 and the A-333. The route passes through various hamlets such as Lorite and La Celada, ascending along the Camino de la Fuente via a steeply sloping section. After passing through La Celada, the route continues towards Iznájar, crossing its town centre and then joining rural tracks leading towards the Arroyo Priego. From this point, the route heads towards the area around El Higueral, a hamlet situated amidst hills and mountain ranges at the boundary between the municipalities of Priego de Córdoba and Algarinejo (Granada). The route continues towards the Las Lagunillas area, now within the municipality of Priego de Córdoba, gradually approaching mid-mountain terrain dominated by the Sierra de la Horconera. In the final section, the route joins rural tracks and local roads such as the CV-61, descending once more towards the area of the Sierra de Rute, where the circular route is completed by returning to the starting point. This is a long and varied route that combines rural stretches, traditional hamlets, secondary roads and mid-mountain landscapes, offering a broad view of the Subbética region.
