Aurora Chapel

Aurora Chapel

Traditional architecture with a whitewashed façade and stone doorway, notable for its 18th-century Neoclassical architectural style.

Its original name was the Chapel of Jesus, Mary and Joseph; it took on the Marian title of ‘La Aurora’ when a statue bearing this name was moved there from the Parish Church of Santa Cruz. Built in the traditional local style, it features a whitewashed façade and a stone doorway. It displays an interesting architectural rhythm and dates from the late 18th century, at the height of the Neoclassical period.
