The Civil Clock Tower is located in the town centre of Luque, very close to the Chapel of San Nicolás Tolentino and the Chapel of La Aurora. It was built in 1820 and fitted with a bell clock driven by weights. It has stood still ever since its clockmaker, Miguel, took the secret of its workings to his grave. Its significance lies in the fact that it is a civil building.
