THE ROPE BULL ROUTE

A route that follows the traditional path of the Toro de Cuerda, with QR codes providing access to videos of each section of the route

1. Preparations and the bull’s release. Preparations for the festivities begin in El Bujío, where the bulls are kept in the moments leading up to their release. There, the ropes are attached to them and they are led to Calle del Pilar, the starting point of the route. Following the chupinazo, the bull is released by the Mozos de Cuerda 2. Ascent of Calle del Pilar – Town Hall. It begins with the eagerly awaited ascent of the bull up Calle del Pilar until it reaches Plaza de España, where you can hear the buzz of the spectators, immerse yourself in the tradition and appreciate the excitement and emotion in the atmosphere 3. Calle Rafael Delgado Benítez – Calle Obispo Pérez-Muñoz. Another option is the descent along Calle Don Rafael Delgado Benítez, where you can join the runners and experience the enthusiasm and excitement of the locals as they watch the bull pass by. 4. Calle Santa Ana – Calle Andrés – Calle Obispo Pérez-Muñoz. You’ll make your way through Calle San Andrés and Calle Obispo Pérez-Muñoz, where you can feel the real adrenaline rush experienced by the runners and the young men. The only escape is “to run or climb onto the railings and balconies”. 5. Descent and bull run. This is the most thrilling moment of the release, when you’ll witness the bull’s ferocity as it charges at high speed towards the starting point, where the bullfighters and runners will bring the route to a close with the Toro de Cuerda bull run.
