Paseo de Rojas

Paseo de Rojas

A historic park featuring a library, stone benches, a pond, a zoo, a children’s play area and a fitness area. Ideal for family outings.
This promenade was created in 1854 under the name Paseo en el Ejido del Valle and was soon renamed Paseo Nuevo to distinguish it from the Paseo Viejo, which was located in the El Cascajar area. The park was originally larger; it took on its current dimensions around 1960. Inside, there used to be a public library, stone benches, a pond and a small zoo. Today, modern features such as a children’s play area and a fitness zone have been added to the Rojas section.
