The Pinar de Rute Trail is a route that runs through the lower reaches of the Sierra de Rute, taking approximately 2.5 hours to complete and rated as moderately difficult. The route winds through a natural landscape dotted with pine trees and offers views that invite you to unwind. It is a walk that connects you with nature and features several stunning viewpoints, from which you can admire the Iznájar reservoir and see as far as three different provinces. Along the way, there are points of interest such as the Fuente Alta Recreation Area, the ADEBO Refuge, several viewpoints and, very nearby, El Canuto, a Christian watchtower of great historical importance due to its role on the border.
