A route featuring picturesque fountains, views of the castle, recreational areas and a park with a children’s play area, ideal for relaxing and enjoying nature.
3. RED ROUTE. We begin the route at (1) Fuente del Emigrante, at the end of Calle Arenal. This is a recently built fountain, inaugurated in 2013, which forms part of the Monument to the Emigrant, with views of Carcabuey Castle in the background. (2) Castillejo Fountain, whose waters served as a watering hole and resting place within the region’s network of livestock trails. (3) Palancar Fountain, situated in an area where small springs are scattered. Developed as a recreational area, the waters flow into the Palancar stream, contributing to the lush vegetation of the site. (4) Fuente del Parque Municipal, on Avenida de la Constitución, this fountain was inaugurated in 1983. It is a central circular fountain with an exterior cladding of local pebbles. A spacious area with a children’s play area for the little ones and large trees with gardens provide a pleasant, peaceful and cool spot. An ideal place to finish and rest after these wonderful routes of fountains and springs
