Atalaya Viewpoint
An artificial viewing platform offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the Charco Hondo Canyon.
A deep gorge through which the River Bailón cuts its way through the final rocky cliffs of the Zuheros mountain range before leaving the Natural Park. It is accessed via a flight of steps and is situated at the 2.400 km mark on the Cueva de los Murciélagos Road (CO-6210).
This viewpoint is popularly known as the ‘Balcón del Coño’ (Pussy Balcony), as this is the most common expletive uttered by visitors as they peer down into the abyss that opens up at their feet.
