Las Chorreras
Waterfalls halfway along the Río Bailón footpath between Cabra and Zuheros.
Shepherds in the mountains have long referred to the two waterfalls by which the Arroyo la Fuenseca crosses the drop caused by the El Cañajal fault, bridging the 70-metre gap between the Llanos Altos (or Fuenseca Plains) and the Llano Bajero, within the municipal boundaries of Zuheros. Despite being seasonal, the rising waters of this stream create a striking natural spectacle as it flows through this rocky stretch amongst scrubland, reaching its greatest splendour at the two waterfalls in question.
Few places within our natural park are as well-known and frequently visited as Las Chorreras, although it should be noted that its popularity dates back to the early 1980s, when hiking between Cabra and Zuheros was first becoming a regular activity.
