Zuheros Viaduct
The Zuheros Viaduct is a steel viaduct that spans the Bailón River gorge.
Historically, it formed part of the Linares–Puente Genil railway line, which was in service between 1893 and 1984, although it is now part of the Aceite Greenway route. The viaduct was built by the Andalusian Railway Company in accordance with the design drawn up by the civil engineer C. Alessandri. The works were carried out in the late 19th century, and it entered service in 1893. It is 103.95 metres long and has a curved plan, following the former course of the railway line. It comprises two side spans of 31 metres and a central span of 40 metres. The viaduct’s structure consists of metal beams supported by ashlar piers. The viaduct is situated a short distance from the Zuheros halt and the town of the same name.
