Cañatienda Spring
A small spring situated at an altitude of 1,030 m, 200 m north of the Cortijo de Cañatienda.
It is recognisable by the reed beds that surround it and the striking streak of reddish earth where it is situated. It is a spring that never runs dry, from which an irrigation channel was built to carry the water directly to this dwelling, which is now in ruins.
It consists of several stone troughs at ground level which were used by the goats from Cortijo Alto to drink in summer, and it is the only place to drink water on the Sendero de la Tiñosa trail, alongside which it is situated.
In 2025, it underwent a major restoration carried out by the Mancomunidad de la Subbética.
