Chapel of the Holy Spirit

Chapel of the Holy Spirit

This historic church, a key venue during Holy Week, houses processional statues and serves as both a place of worship and a tourist attraction.

This church was inaugurated in 1936 in the area known as ‘La Plazuela’, and served as the town’s new parish church following the fire that destroyed the original parish church. Today, it serves as a permanent place of worship for most of the statues carried in the Holy Week processions; the majority of these statues depart from and return to the church, making it an unmissable event during Holy Week.
