Subbetica
Museum of Nougat, Mantecado and Marzipan
Over the years, this company has consistently excelled through perseverance, dedication and perfection in its daily work, combining traditional craftsmanship with new technologies. For fifty years, drawing on the meticulousness of their forebears and their own, they have preserved, maintained and expanded the artisanal techniques used to make our nougat, marzipan and shortbread – which they continue to produce for you today. We are confident that the next fifty years will allow us to learn a little more about our craft, to add to the history of our museum, and, of course, to remain a part of your table throughout that time.
The history of this company began fifty years ago, but it already carried the legacy of its predecessors, inheriting a love for things done well and the knowledge to make them. Thanks to them, a cultural and material tradition has also been preserved, reflected in the tools and instruments used in the artisanal production of their products, which are on display today in this museum. The Artisanal Museum of Turrón, Mantecado and Marzipan showcases the traditional manufacturing processes and the tools required for them. It features a dedicated space for each speciality, with a special focus on the turrón that has made this establishment so famous.
