The Santo Cristo Cemetery was opened in 1869 during the mayoralty of Mr Antonio de la Barrera in Priego. Notable features within the cemetery include the main chapel, the mausoleum of the Brotherhood of Charity, and a number of private graves located in the central area. The wrought-iron gate at the main entrance dates from the same period.
