The Gardens of the poet Amparo Lara Fuentes are home to a total of 41 catalogued species. Among the park’s highlights are the Canary Island palms, the elms and the cypresses, particularly the Monterrey cypresses. Also worth noting is the presence of the ‘Tree of Paradise’, which is listed in the ‘Catalogue of Unique Trees in the Province’. In the vicinity of the gardens there are other species of ornamental trees and shrubs, which also form part of Benamejí’s urban flora.
