Millennial Holm Oak

Millennial Holm Oak

Árbol monumental en Andalucía, destaca por su copa de 29x21m y altura de 17,5m, ofreciendo 600 m² de sombra. Atractivo natural para los visitantes.

This holm oak, designated a Natural Monument by the Regional Ministry of the Environment of the Regional Government of Andalusia, is located in the village of Los Llanos de D. Juan in Rute.

The shade cast by its immense crown, measuring 29 x 21 metres in diameter, covers an area of around 600 square metres. It stands no less than 17.50 metres tall, with a diameter of 4.55 metres at the crown and 6.40 metres at the base. It should be noted that this is not an extremely old holm oak, as it is estimated to be between 400 and 450 years old. Indeed, its trunk does not yet display the warts and hollows characteristic of older holm oaks. This magnificent tree may still have many years of life ahead of it if we look after it.
