The Subbética Bird Park in Carcabuey (located in the El Cañuelo area) is a modern ecotourism and environmental education centre designed for birdwatching and conservation, situated right in the heart of the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park and Geopark. Recently opened, this site features a free, signposted trail open all year round, enhanced with educational panels featuring QR codes to listen to birdsong, a natural pond that promotes local biodiversity, and an excellent wooden hide equipped with spyglasses and offering an unobstructed view of the dozens of resident and migratory species that frequent the area.
