SANTA RITA VISITOR CENTRE

Ubicado cerca de Carcabuey, ofrece un viaje subterráneo por formaciones calizas y elementos interactivos sobre el patrimonio natural y cultural local.

On the Cabra-Priego de Córdoba road, just 10 km from Carcabuey, the Santa Rita Visitor Centre introduces visitors to the geological phenomena responsible for the distinctive landscape of the Sierras Subbéticas. It takes visitors on a journey into the depths of the earth, where they can see the varied formations created by the erosion of limestone by water. Inside, there are numerous interactive displays on the natural and cultural heritage of the Sierras Subbéticas. A significant part of the space is dedicated to geological resources and the Geopark, which was recognised as such in 2015. A giant sculpture of an ammonite welcomes visitors, symbolising the importance attached to the geological heritage of this region.
