One of the buildings of particular interest to our village, situated within our municipality and housing various facilities, is definitely located on the outskirts of Carcabuey, specifically on the Laneal plain. In October 1987, the Constituent Assembly of the Subbética Cordobesa Tourist Association was held, comprising the municipalities of Almedinilla, Benamejí, Cabra, Carcabuey, Doña Mencía, Encinas Reales, Fuente-Tójar, Iznajar, Lucena, Luque, Palenciana, Priego de Córdoba, Rute and Zuheros.A number of Technical Departments were established, responsible for employment, training, tourism and promotion, culture, sport, youth, administration and the machinery fleet. Working in conjunction with the provincial council, they manage and provide a range of services to the entire region.
