Fuente Tójar Municipal History Museum

Museo con tres salas que recorren la historia local, desde sus primeros pobladores. Ofrece una audioguía para enriquecer la visita.

The origins of this museum date back to the early 1970s. The museum’s first exhibition took place in 1972 at the headquarters of the Local Agricultural Chamber, featuring artefacts collected from archaeological sites within the municipal area. Many people contributed by donating items they had found whilst working on the land.

This process of recovering the archaeological heritage culminated on 20 February 1985 when the Municipal Council decided to establish the Fuente-Tójar Municipal History Museum. Today, following a series of refurbishments, the museum has three exhibition rooms, offering a journey through the history of Fuente-Tójar, from its earliest settlers to the present day. Furthermore, following the latest refurbishment carried out in 2020, visitors are now able to enjoy an engaging audio guide.
