"El Lucerico" Mill

A Roman oil-producing complex featuring oil presses, masonry walls and settling tanks, ideal for exploring the history of olive oil in Europe.

About three kilometres from Cerro de las Cabezas, along the Positillo road, lies the “Lucerico” Roman Mill, considered one of the largest industrial olive oil complexes in Western Europe. It covers an area of almost 1,700 m² and is divided into three zones. A storage area, a second zone featuring masonry walls and rectangular pressings, and finally an area of settling tanks.
