Chocolate Nativity Scene

Chocolate Nativity Scene

El lugar ofrece un impresionante belén de chocolate, el más grande de España, con escenas detalladas y 1.500 kg de chocolate, abierto de octubre a diciembre.

Galleros Artesanos de Rute is a family business that dates back more than ninety years, when Loreto Garrido followed in the footsteps of her parents, who were confectioners. Little by little, ‘Lore and his wife Dolores’, with great effort and enthusiasm, worked hard on the artisanal production of sweets, amongst which the piononos and puff pastries stood out, becoming increasingly well-known and appreciated by everyone. It was they who instilled in their children the art of traditional confectionery-making, using ingredients of the highest quality. Jorge, Ramón and Victoria, together with a highly professional team, ensure that this company can remain competitive in the market without compromising on the quality of its sweets in the slightest.

One of the main attractions visitors will find in Rute is the chance to enjoy our town’s Christmas sweets. Galleros Artesanos undoubtedly offers one of the most comprehensive selections, and it is no exaggeration to say that in Rute, the name Galleros is synonymous with sweet treats.

At this company, you will have the opportunity to visit the largest chocolate nativity scene in Spain. It recreates the streets, churches, characters and scenes of daily life experienced by Jesus Christ at the time of his birth, with a different theme inspired by various locations each year. Some interesting facts about its creation include the more than 1,500 kg of chocolate used in its production, the approximately four months it takes to build it over an area of 52 m², and the seven master confectioners from Galleros Artesanos who are involved in its creation.

Every year, Galleros Artesanos presents new and sweet creations made from chocolate. Our master artisans are always on the lookout for themes, events, etc., that interest or entertain both adults and children.

Open during October, November and December.
