“El Pingorote” Viewpoint

Ofrece vistas panorámicas de Almedinilla, rodeada de sierras y olivares, con huertas fértiles y rincones pintorescos que combinan tradición y naturaleza.

The Pingorote rock, which rises like an eternal guardian beside a sharp bend in the road leading to Brácana, offers the finest panoramic view of Almedinilla, whose triangular town centre, bathed in midday light, stretches out gently, sheltered by rugged mountain ranges and ash-grey olive groves. At the base of the triangle, vegetable gardens flourish, fertilised by the River Caicena, a landscape to which the town looks out from the balcony of the Paseíllo.

Although architectural renewal has reduced the number of traditional houses with picturesque chimneys, Almedinilla still retains fascinating corners, the result of the harmony between the white façades and the rugged mountain ranges that shelter the village to the south-west, such as Las Llanadas, Los Castillejos and Cerro de la Cruz, the repository of the town’s Iberian roots.
