The La Duquesa de Benamejí themed centre forms part of the network ofthemed centresknown as Tierras de José María el Tempranillo. Here, visitors can take a historical journey through 19th-century romantic banditry and discover the influence of this phenomenon on the performing arts through music, painting, theatre, cinema and literature, with a special focus on the play La Duquesa de Benamejí by the Machado brothers, a masterpiece of the literary subgenre of banditry.
