Shrine of Our Lady of Grace Crowned

Located one kilometre from the village, on the road leading to the historic cemetery surrounded by olive groves and pine forests, María Santísima de Gracia Coronada overlooks the village.

All that is known of the old Sanctuary of Our Lady of Grace is that it was restored in 1917; work on the current sanctuary began on 15 September 1974, based on the design by the Lucena-born architect Mr Manuel Roldan, and it was inaugurated in October 1997 by the then Bishop of the diocese, Mr José María Giralda.

The Sanctuary of Jesús del Alto is the residence of Our Lady of Gracia Coronada, patron saint of our town and its perpetual mayor.

From the village to the sanctuary, we can admire the typical penitential processional crosses, crosses of great folk simplicity.
