The Mule's Ear

Estructura ciclópea con bloques calizos, ideal para explorar su arquitectura antigua y disfrutar de vistas panorámicas desde la cumbre.

A cyclopean enclosure built from large blocks, some over 2 m in length. It is a quadrangular structure measuring 11x12 m at the summit, with a maximum preserved height of 2.20 m. It consists of a 1.60 m thick wall built from a double row of large limestone blocks, some of a cyclopean nature; the interior is filled with earth. This upper structure is defended on the north and east sides—which lack the natural defence of the rocky cliffs—by a more extensive outer enclosure, formed by a line of large limestone blocks set into the ground. The intensity of occupation of this fortification is evident from the large quantity of pottery fragments found around the summit: common Roman ware, tegulae and sigillata.
