Located in the municipality ofPalenciana, it showcases the natural and environmental resources ofthe Tierras de José Mª El Tempranillo region, and provides a backdrop for the exploits and adventures of the bandits, thanks to the area’s rich landscape. The themed centre is divided into several thematic sections. The first tells us about the different bandits and how the landscape was, in many cases, an ally when it came to fleeing from the law or hiding. The second section offers an overview of the entireTierras de José María “El Tempranillo” region; through a huge panoramic photograph and an interactive display, visitors can discover what each municipality on this route is like, as well as its landscape, resources, people, and so on. After visiting this section, visitors are presented with a collage of photographs showcasing all the landscapes, crops and species found in the villages that make upthe Lands of José María “El Tempranillo”, and to round off the visit, an audiovisual presentation highlights the importance of the landscape and the cycles of nature throughout history, from the era of banditry to the present day. The theme centre offers visitors the chance to take part in active tourism activities, such ashiking, rafting and bungee jumping, as it provides extensive information on various companies offering these services.VISITS TO THIS THEME CENTRE MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE.
