On 26 March 2004, the Museum of Luque was inaugurated by the Regional Minister for Culture of the Regional Government of Andalusia in Córdoba, Ms Rafaela Valenzuela Jiménez. The museum’s name is: ‘Luque Tierra de Fronteras’ Municipal Museum.

Over the centuries, ‘Luque’ has existed, due to its geographical location, alongside major transport routes, near water sources and between the mountains and the countryside, in a border region. The museum is organised into four main galleries:

- Room P: Dedicated to Prehistory.

- Room I: Ancient Frontier

 - Room II: Medieval Frontier

- Room III: Dedicated to the Spanish Civil War

The museum has two further galleries, one dedicated to local artists and the other serving as a temporary exhibition space.
