The Three Crosses

The Three Crosses

Bosque de pinos con ardillas, vistas al embalse, zona recreativa y sendero urbano ideal para paseos familiares en contacto con la naturaleza.

The Tres Cruces nature reserve can be reached from the centre of Iznájar via the neighbourhood of the same name.

It consists of a forest of stone pines, so it is easy to spot squirrels amongst the pine trees.
It features a recreational area, a children’s playground, picnic areas and a car park.
From Tres Cruces, you can enjoy magnificent views of the reservoir and its tributaries from above.
At the lower part of Tres Cruces, an inter-urban footpath begins, running alongside the residential area and schools, and leading to the steps that take you to the viewpoints of Las Peñas and Cruz de San Pedro, offering the chance for a family walk in contact with nature without really leaving the town centre of Iznájar.

Las Tres Cruces is best known in Iznájar as the gathering place for hundreds of people every Good Friday during the Calvario procession, as this is where the first of the procession’s three stops takes place, representing the three falls of the Nazarene.
