At its centre is a fountain with an octagonal basin and a central pillar featuring bulbous mouldings, topped with an artistic shield-shaped finial bearing two coats of arms: that of Lucena, divided into two quarters, the main one featuring the castle with the morning star above it, and the second featuring Saint George on horseback. The other coat of arms is that of Spain, with an inscription dating the fountain to 1842.
