This village is situated on the slopes of La Tiñosa, the starting point for the climb to this peak. The place name is first mentioned in the 13th century as the boundary of the commandery held by the Military Order of Calatrava in Priego. Nearby, you can enjoy the crystal-clear waters at the source of the River Salado. This area has the highest rainfall in the entire municipality. The Virgin of Carmen is the patron saint of the village, and her feast day is in October.
