Llanete de San Agustín

Llanete de San Agustín

An iconic square for processions and the singing of saetas, notably the 'perrilleja' saeta and the ringing of the Torralbo bell during Holy Week.
Virtually all of Lucena’s Passion brotherhoods parade their processional floats through this square, known as the ‘Llanete’, as the balcony of the Círculo Lucentino is a local landmark for the singing of saetas. The traditional ‘perrilleja’ saeta, together with the sound of the Torralbo bells, are the musical sounds that best define Holy Week in Lucena.
