Museum of the Passion

Exposición única sobre la primera Semana Santa, combinando historia, arqueología, ciencia y arte, ideal para el turismo etnográfico y religioso en Cabra.

The Museum of the Passion, which officially opened its doors on 16 February, originated from an exhibition entitled “Man and the Shroud” held in 2002, bringing together a summary of the work carried out in recent years by the Seville-based sculptor and religious artist Juan Manuel Miñarro in this field. A project that has enjoyed the support and backing of Cabra Town Council and other individuals, scholars, organisations and institutions such as the Spanish Centre for Sindonology, the University of Seville, the Museum of Roman Art in Mérida (Badajoz), alongside various brotherhoods from Cabra, and which is already present on social media, delves into a segment of ethnographic and religious tourism, showcasing what was ‘the first Holy Week in history, approaching the events of the Passion through the insights offered by history, archaeology, science and art’.Aguilar y Eslava FoundationMuseum of the Passion
